Safeguarding LBI Collections with Knowledge and Planning
Luckily, this is just a drill! Led by experts from the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts, LBI and Center for Jewish History staff rescued objects and media from drowning in a kiddie pool and learned how to dry them and prevent further damage. While most of the staff’s disaster preparedness efforts are designed to prevent something like this from ever happening, the knowledge and skills practiced in this workshop are a necessary safeguard if the worst should happen.
