Help us Build on 7 Decades

LBI 70th anniversary collage
LBI's first offices on Broadway (l), our townhouse at 129 East 73rd St. (1961-2000) (c) and our current home in the Center for Jewish History at 15 W. 16th St. (r).

Much has changed in the nearly seven decades since the LBI's founding in 1955. As our collections have grown, we've moved three times in New York, joined five partner institutions in establishing global landmark for the academic study of Jewish History, established a Berlin office, digitized millions of documents, and supported several generations of scholars. Some things haven't changed at all. We are still dedicated to preserving the history of German-speaking Jewry in our archives, and we still depend on donors like you to keep doing that work. With immense gratitude for all your past support, we humbly ask that you recommit to help us keep the past present with a donation to LBI's 70th anniversary fund.
