Peter Freund founded the Edition Dr. Peter Freund as a one-man business in Palestine in 1941. He printed small editions (100-200 copies) of mostly German-language books. Overall, he published about 50 books, most of them the size of a brochure.
Freund was the son of the famous Rabbi Dr. Ismar Freund and was trained as a rabbi. He immigrated to Palestine in 1935.
