Thomas Sessler founded the Neuer Bühnenverlag Miville und Zeiz in Zürich in 1939. Miville und Zeiz was a central hub for émigrés and resistance activities in Zürich.
Sessler had previously worked for the Georg Marton Verlag in Vienna; he fled to Switzerland after the Anschluss. After the war, he continued his publishing activities, including the purchase of the exile press Les Editions Georges Marton.
