Biographical/Historical Information

The neo-Orthodox Rabbi Isaac Breuer was born in Pápa, Hungary in 1883, the grandson of that movement’s founder in Frankfurt, Samson Raphael Hirsch. In 1936, Breuer emigrated to Jerusalem, where he founded the Jewish Orthodox party, Poalei Agudat Yisrael. Rabbi Isaac Breuer died in Jerusalem in 1946.
