Biographical/Historical Information
The German statesman Gustav Stresemann served as chancellor and then as foreign minister from 1923 until his death in 1929. For his work of reconciliation between Germany and France, he and French Prime Minister Aristide Briand received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1926.
