Biographical/Historical Information
The lawyer Fritz Goldschmidt was born in Breslau in 1893, serving shortly as a judge in the High Court in Berlin until 1933, and devoting most of his time working for the Central Verein Deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens. He emigrated to England in 1939, working eventually for of the United Restitution Office. Fritz Goldschmidt died in London in 1968.
