Biographical/Historical Information

Ilse Einstein, the daughter of Elsa Einstein and her first husband Max Löwenthal, was the stepdaughter of physicist Albert Einstein. She was married to the writer and literary critic Rudolf Kayser, who subsequently wrote a biography of Albert Einstein. Ilse Einstein died of tuberculosis in 1934.
