Biographical/Historical Information
Fritz Kreisler, 1875—1962. American violinist and composer, was born in Vienna, and served in the Austrian army in World War I. He emigrated to the United States and was naturalized in 1943. He composed many original violin pieces including Caprice viennois and Schön Rosmarin, a string quartet, and the operetta Apple Blossoms (1919).
The child actress, Karol Kay, pictured here at age 8, played the part of a violin prodigy (Patsy Cavendish) in "Second Hand Wife", a 1933 Fox Production.
