Summary
The abstract composition is organized along the verticals formed by the wooden boards. The second board from the left remains partly unpainted. The paint is applied flatly in strips, except for a disk and Hebrew script. The script does not form any meaningful sequence. The work is signed in the lower left by "Zvi", however the artist has not been identified.
Attached on verso: "Assemblage with acrylic polymer on wood, oil on paper and objects onto acrylic polymer field on 5 wood panels. The lettering is derived from the painting "The Promise I". However, the letter are here arranged nonsensically, without discernible meaning, and completely subservient in their abondonment to the qualificationsof the total design for its own sake. The statement is totally that of design criteria and without any semblance of literary overtones. The vertical nature of the paneling is related to the horizontal wooden stripes in relief, which are effectively panels of the sort. The lettering is employed in a true collage sense, as are the miniture wooden scupltures and fiery orange sun-disc."
