The Leo Baeck Institute relies upon donor contributions to continue its important work to preserve and promote the history and culture of German-speaking Jewry. LBI is proud to provide an array of benefits for donors who give an annual gift at the $1,800 level or higher.

We encourage donors to give at the highest level possible and to support programs and activities – educating the public, growing our collections, and preserving our history – that resonate with their philanthropic goals.

FRIEND

With a gift of $1,800 or more, you will be a Friend of LBI and entitled to the following:

Discounted tickets for LBI lectures and public programs.
Invitation to “Behind the Scenes” tours.
Complimentary print edition of our annual LBI Yearbook, the leading scholarly publication on German-Jewish History.
Printed copy of the Leo Baeck Memorial Lecture.
Invitation to our annual “Friends of LBI” appreciation reception.
Listing as a “Friend” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

Beginning with the $3,600 level and up, donors are entitled to all of the Friends of LBI benefits plus additional opportunities.

STEWARD

$3,600 and above

Additional benefits:

Complimentary tickets for LBI lectures and public programs.
One complimentary Genealogical consultation by an LBI archivist.
Private viewing of new acquisitions.
Listing as a “Steward” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

ARCHIVIST

$5,000 and above

Additional benefits:

Invitation to an escorted “Behind the Scenes” archival tour with LBI’s Director of Research or Director of Collections.
Listing as “Archivist” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

LIBRARIAN

$10,000 and above

Additional benefits:

Sponsor an issue of LBI News, our information-rich news magazine, and you will be prominently listed as the sponsor. LBI News is published three times a year.
Name a Book Acquisition Fund; your support will be recognized on bookplates in acquired books as well as in all of our publicity.
Adopt and name a Student Internship in honor of a loved one.
Listing as “Librarian in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

HISTORIAN

$15,000 and above

Additional benefits:

Sponsor a Lecture, Reading, Film Screening, Performance or Concert and you will receive recognition in all pre and post publications of the event.
An opportunity to support LBI’s Family Research Program with acknowledgement for making it possible for LBI to hold events linking our archive with the genealogical community.
Listing as “Historian” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

CURATOR

$20,000 and above

Additional benefits:

An opportunity to underwrite the scholarship and education in the US and abroad by sponsoring an LBI archivist or historian who will attend conferences, meetings, and symposia to showcase our work and collections.
Become a sponsor of a Special Exhibition or travelling exhibitions curated by LBI and you will be recognized in all publications of the exhibition as well as the exhibition catalogue and on-site signage.
Listing as “Curator” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on plaque at the Institute.

CONSERVATOR

$25,000 and above

Additional benefits:

Sponsor a Leo Baeck Memorial Lecture and you will be prominently recognized in all pre and post event and online publicizing of the lecture as well as any pre event programs and on-site signage and verbal recognition from the podium.
Listing as “Conservator” in annual spring newsletter’s “Acknowledgements” section and on signage at Institute.

INNOVATOR

$50,000 and above

Additional benefits:

Work with our Executive Director to tailor a named program initiate.
