Anti-Semitism during World War I was often very subtle. Many Jewish soldiers reported of having been passed over for promotions or of tensions with their superiors and fellow soldiers. But while the war was being fought, open hostilities were rare. Once the war was over (and lost!) the situation changed very rapidly as the following flyer demonstrates.
