Dear Leo,

Since I didn?t reach you by telephone, I would like to submit the following for your well-meaning consideration:

Approx. 12-1500 organized Zionists are already in the field. All Zionist students and members of the Zionist athletic club "Bar Kochba" enlisted voluntarily immediately after the outbreak of the War and the great majority of them was accepted. The Zionist hiking clubs "Blau-Weiss" [Blue-White] volunteered right away for harvest duty in a number of different places. I have reason to believe that the highest administrative authorities consider the Zionists entirely reliable, perhaps even especially valuable citizens.

In addition, I?m sure you will share my point of view that it is the absolute duty of every German Jew to stand as one at this point. The anti-papist committee dissolved and the government united with the Social Democrats.

For this reason, I would like to advise you to suggest for the anti-Zionist Committee to dissolve. I?m taking the liberty to enclose the draft of a declaration with duplicates.

With warmest regards,

Your cousin,

Thank you for your kind card!
